A gate that lets the cat through but stops the dog

These gates carry a smaller door set into the main panel, sized so a cat can slip through while a dog stays on the far side. The pass-through sits low in the gate, and the larger walk-through section opens for people. In practice the gate does two jobs at once: it separates a dog from a room or stairwell, and it leaves the cat a route that does not require lifting the whole gate or stepping over it.

Metal frames, pressure fit, and a mix of colors

The frames are metal, and the gates mount by pressure rather than drilling, so they hold between two surfaces without hardware in the wall. Widths expand across a range to fit different openings, and some models run taller than standard for dogs that would clear a lower bar. Colors come in gray, black, and white, which lets the gate sit quietly against trim or contrast with it.

Where the small door falls short

The small door only works as a filter if the size difference between the animals is real. A cat-sized opening will not stop a small dog, and a determined larger dog may still test the frame.
